A medium sized village of around 500 permanent residents. There is a wall surrounding the main part of the village to protect from possible attacks. Freystrand is the closest "mapable" village in the [[:imlath:locations:carcean_confederation|Carcean Confederation]] to the Kingdom of Nul. They are primarily agrarian but do have a few basic craftsman mainly to support the farmers and some trade with traveling merchants. There is a shrine to [[:imlath:cultures:eshara|Eshara]] here as well.

===== Governance =====

Freystrand is governed by a mayor who appoints a sheriff who in turn appoints two deputies. The mayor and sheriff take up residence in the villages' mayoral house and sheriff's house. The sheriff's house also doubles as a sort of jail, though this function is rarely used outside times of war. Most rabble-rousers will end up spending time in the stocks for anywhere from a few hours up to a day or so.
