Music of a God

Entering the fountain room we find no traps and a single door along the wall. Through the door we enter a large octagonal room with a raised area in the center. There is an upright board on one end and a string instrument in the center. Finding nothing else of interest in the room, we walk onto the center platform and find music notes carved into the board. Beckett steps up and plays the notes on the Harp of Kaelthyl. As the last note rings throughout the room, a mechanical noise is heard overhead and a shelf comes down from the ceiling. On the shelf is a statuette carved in a white stone. The Moon Stone Oracle! Amos grabs the Oracle and Sera opens a portal for us to return to her basement.

As we enter her study she off-handedly mentions it must be one of the nine artifacts of the Gods. Not knowing of these artifacts we ask her to explain. She refers to her books for several minutes and reads us what she was looking for. Legend says each of the Gods of the Divine Assembly created an artifact, imbuing it with their power. Gathering all nine would give the wielder divine favor, becoming godlike. The Moon Stone Oracle it says, gives the power to control the moonlight. Excited to gain power, Eliwick takes the Oracle outside where he holds it to the sky and attempts to bring moonlight forth. Nothing happens and he dejectedly returns inside.

Sera offers to let us stay the night at her house and we discuss our options. After a while we decide we cannot let the vampire get his hands on the Oracle. Beckett gets to work creating a detailed replica that we can only hope will fool the vampire.
