In the afternoon the party sets out to the North in search of the mountain pass described to them. Near dusk they stop at a small clearing in the woods and begin their plan. The wagon is parked to the side of the trail and a wheel is pulled off to look as if it is broken. Rivikkyn, Becket, and Eliwick begin to set up a temporary camp while Amos tries to look busy “fixing” the wagon wheel. Kin and Bash remain hidden in the wagon, ready to surprise the unsuspecting bandits when they inevitably approach per the plan. All is going just as discussed.
After a while we begin to hear different noises all around us. A dog barking in one direction, followed by another. And another. Sticks breaking under footsteps. Short whistles followed by barks and more whistles. It appears as though the unknown source of the noises is communicating with each other and the party is surrounded. With the area lit only by the camp fire and a lone torch, the group begin to catch glimpses of movement on the edge of their vision. Everyone is getting nervous this is the group of bandits we've been looking for.
Kin, unable to remain still any longer, throws back the canvas of the wagon and jumps down next to Amos, drawing his sword. The rest of the party follows suit and draws their weapons. Dogs begin to charge towards Kin and Amos. They are quickly taken care of. More noise in the woods causes the rest of the party to begin attacking. The bandits quickly realize the group is not what it seemed and begin their retreat. Not before Kin manages to dance his way from bandit to bandit and rack up a respectable body count. As quickly as it began the fight is over and the party has managed to capture a lone bandit while a few made it away.
After tending to their wounds, they set their sights on their prisoner.
