Freystrand

A medium sized village of around 500 permanent residents. There is a wall surrounding the main part of the village to protect from possible attacks. Freystrand is the closest “mapable” village in the Carcean Confederation to the Kingdom of Nul. They are primarily agrarian but do have a few basic craftsman mainly to support the farmers and some trade with traveling merchants. There is a shrine to Eshara here as well.

Freystrand is governed by a mayor who appoints a sheriff who in turn appoints two deputies. The mayor and sheriff take up residence in the villages' mayoral house and sheriff's house. The sheriff's house also doubles as a sort of jail, though this function is rarely used outside times of war. Most rabble-rousers will end up spending time in the stocks for anywhere from a few hours up to a day or so.
